    Roskilde 2013 – Chapter 4 – Over And In

    Roskilde 2013 is only about to get started, and hangovers are getting worst. Nothing that a morning bowl session and some astronaut food can't cure, though. Needless to say, I'd rather attend the sound checks that are taking over the festival area, than sit in this crowded container, but here we are, back at it again. Hard to keep the focus when so many things are going on outside, but the vert show was too awesome not to let you know about that first!

    And here we go for another hungover update from Roskilde Festival. Despite a wild night of partying, the energy is really high still, and everyone's looking forward to the vert show this afternoon, which we might as well call the "Eito Show". While we're all waiting for the forecast to improve, for now it's time to catch up with yesterday's bowl contest: read on!

    Competition Report: Street Side Games 2013

    June 15th was some kind of blading holiday in the Czech Republic because of the Street Side Games 2013 going down in Kladno, right next to the capital city Prague. This year was a little bit different from the previous two: The whole competition was held in a completely customized skatepark with hand made obstacles set up just for this day.

    Eyes wide open, 6 in the morning, I wonder what the people behind the wheel think of us campers as their cars roll by on the freeway. Truckers horn as I stand amidst the tents in the gray Nordic light. Could be interpreted as either a sign of mockery, or a proof of their sympathy, but standing there won't help me find out which option is actually true, thus I move on with my day. It's our 2nd morning in Roskilde, and there's some stuff happening on the street course today.

    Morning – Temperature is way low but heavy alcohol consumption helped everyone sleep through the cold until late. There's fresh coffee for everyone to nurse their hangovers, and soon enough the crew starts shredding the bowl and street course. It's Day One in Roskilde, the place is already trashed, but everybody is ready to roll. Before the actual shows start on Monday, today we'll take over the streets of the city for the first SRSC of the season.

    Berlin - It's 9AM and I crack open the first beer of the day. Excitement is really high and I haven't slept much, woke up way too early with crazy dreams about Denmark. The fastest bowl in Europe, one sick crew of bladers, a week-long party with beautiful girls everywhere, and some of the best music you'd want to hear... Countless fantasies, and more than enough to get anybody just as excited as I am, sipping on some Czech imported Budweiser to cool myself down as I wait for the rest of the crew.

    West Coast Contest 2013 in Bordeaux, France

    The West Coast Contest takes place at the Skatepark des Chartrons in Bordeaux, France for the the third time this year. This year with two WRS stars and 700€ prize money. Be sure to check it out if you're in the area!

    Only Six Days till Summerclash 2013!

    Six days to go ladies and gentleman. In less than a week around 700 bladers from all over Europe, Brazil, the United States and Australia will gather in Berlin for what will be the biggest blading event in the Summertime since years. To make sure you didn’t miss anything, we once again collected the highlights for you. This is definitely not going to be the average blading event, but an action packed weekend with several unique side events! A true Blading Festival!

    Texas Skate Series: San Antonio competition

    The Texas Skate Series San Antonio competition started off the way all San Antonio comps do, meeting up at San Pedro park. It was originally a ledge spot in the middle of town that eventually was designated as a "skate park" of sorts where they added a nice p-rail, curve ledge box and the famous angle iron ledge. It is not much but it is a perfect meet up spot for a competition like this. Being that the comp was on Easter weekend there were already people camped out with tents trying to secure their spot of the park for the Easter festivities.

    Only 16 days until Summerclash... that’s only a little more than two weeks. The weather is finally getting better, the last sponsoring deals are getting finalized, our tradeshow partners confirmed and the street course is planned. We are almost ready to welcome our guests from around 30 different countries for that one special weekend in the summer of 2013!     Street Side Games 2013 in Prague, Czech Republic

    Street Side Games 2013will be held at Skatepark Kladno in Prague on June 15th. The whole skatepark will be full of hand made obstacles with the help from Ruff City Crew and Inlinespecial. There will also be a bar with food and drinks! Judging from last years coverage it will be a great event once again! The prize money is a whopping 400 € for first place!
