Competition Report: Street Side Games 2013 Be-Mag·July 2, 2013June 15th was some kind of blading holiday in the Czech Republic because of the Street Side Games 2013 going down in Kladno, right next to the capital city Prague. This year was a little bit different from the previous two: The whole competition was held in a completely customized skatepark with hand made obstacles set up just for this day.
Roskilde 2013 – Chapter 2 – Muddy Waters Be-Mag·July 2, 2013Eyes wide open, 6 in the morning, I wonder what the people behind the wheel think of us campers as their cars roll by on the freeway. Truckers horn as I stand amidst the tents in the gray Nordic light. Could be interpreted as either a sign of mockery, or a proof of their sympathy, but standing there won't help me find out which option is actually true, thus I move on with my day. It's our 2nd morning in Roskilde, and there's some stuff happening on the street course today.

There's fresh coffee for everyone to nurse their hangovers, and soon enough the crew starts shredding the bowl and street course. It's Day One in Roskilde, the place is already trashed, but everybody is ready to roll. Before the actual shows start on Monday, today we'll take over the streets of the city for the first SRSC of the season.

Excitement is really high and I haven't slept much, woke up way too early with crazy dreams about Denmark. The fastest bowl in Europe, one sick crew of bladers, a week-long party with beautiful girls everywhere, and some of the best music you'd want to hear... Countless fantasies, and more than enough to get anybody just as excited as I am, sipping on some Czech imported Budweiser to cool myself down as I wait for the rest of the crew.

Texas Skate Series: San Antonio competition Be-Mag·June 9, 2013The Texas Skate Series San Antonio competition started off the way all San Antonio comps do, meeting up at San Pedro park. It was originally a ledge spot in the middle of town that eventually was designated as a "skate park" of sorts where they added a nice p-rail, curve ledge box and the famous angle iron ledge. It is not much but it is a perfect meet up spot for a competition like this. Being that the comp was on Easter weekend there were already people camped out with tents trying to secure their spot of the park for the Easter festivities.

Street Side Games 2013 in Prague, Czech Republic Be-Mag·May 15, 2013Street Side Games 2013will be held at Skatepark Kladno in Prague on June 15th. The whole skatepark will be full of hand made obstacles with the help from Ruff City Crew and Inlinespecial. There will also be a bar with food and drinks!
