The Escape from New York Tour is an idea I came up with after spending a month and a half in California earlier this year. As I toured up and down the coastline I met some of the most amazing and memorable people I have ever encountered. I found myself submersed in deep conversation with industry legends such as Louis Zamora, Justin Eisinger, and Lonnie Gallegos. I can’t thank these guys enough for the insight they bestowed on me because without them I would have never manifested such a project.

When you speak of rollerblading, Amsterdam, or a combination of both, there is one person and one person only who embodies these exact things, Remy Cadier. I have known him for years now, but I still can't tell you which of his two passions he would choose if he had to, but it might not be his girlfriend. Mr. Cadier turned 35 years of age today. The Ajax fanboy without an Ajax season ticket symbolizes persistence, loving what you do and putting in blood, sweat and tears, something we all know and live as rollerbladers.

Dave Lang had a guest appearance in Common's latest music video production. For the Chicago rap artist's upcoming single 'Favorite Song' Dave performed some cool blading maneuvers at the Venice Beach skatepark. Here is an exclusive behind the scenes look of the video production by Daniel Scarano.

Boston’s skate scene is awesome because we have a good mixture of skaters from all generations. We have a variety of skaters of all ages. Many of the OG’s who took a break are getting back into it and the shop exposes many new faces to the sport.

The first day of part two of the 2012 'Escape from New York Tour 2012' to Boston, MA went off without a hitch. The media team consisting of Ryan Loewy, Dan Fabiano, and myself were already ahead and working to document the trip.

Dominik was and will always be a welcome addition the bread basket of bladers in NYC. Whether he is in the Bronx getting evicted with Shardy by his landlord, blading uptown with Nigel, or being a dirt bag in Bed-Stuy with Josh and myself, Dominik will always be missed in NYC. Okay, enough with the crying brown nose bullshit. Dominik came through NYC like a Blitzkrieg. After his eviction from Shardy's domicile he had the pleasure of finding a pad close to Josh and I with two very strange room mates. One of which who apparently liked to bring home random foreigners to watch movies or trash the apartment with. Haha! So when I had a room available in my place I told him to get the fuck out of there. That was the beginning of our little German experience. Always wielding some sort of point and shoot camera and sunglasses, Dominik is always down to blade or hang. What a funny "super hero" to have around. Thanks for coming through to teach us the ways of the Germans (Bier), introducing us to Sophie and Lucia (sexy German ladies) and just being the one we miss.
