This year ACHOSEN-FEW.COM is throwing 10 street comps around the world. We have competitions in California, Atlanta, New York, England, Switzerland, Germany, Canada and Utah. We have some great local organizers for each competition who are the reasons that this series is possible.
On 26/03/2011, the fourth edition of Never Winter Jam competition has taken place at "Legnicka" skatepark in Wroclaw. This contest was the first (out of six consecutive contests in 2011 season) to open Triada Polish Rolling League 2011, the official polish Aggressive Inline Skating Championships!
The first Chosen Few street event of the season was the Rockillers street comp which included local organizers such as Alejoh Candelo, Iain Mcleod, Winston Wardwell and Colin Mcleod. They decided the location should be Riverside, a town full of spots way east towards the mountains. The meeting spot was Chino skate park which is a popular skate park amongst any SoCal blader. People got right to work before the competition even began.
Last Saturday the 2th of April, the second round of the Dutch Championships rollerblading took place in Area 51 skatepark in Eindhoven. The senior contest was won by 16 years old talent Jelle Briggeman from Rotterdam. Also the junior contest was won by a talent from Rotterdam, Sem Croft. Next to competitors from all over the Netherlands also guys from Romania, Belgium, Germany and France showed up to compete.
Noiya Clothing is continuing to organise its annual rollerblade jam at The House Skatepark, Sheffield. The event is supported by Kingdom Magazine, SlapTap, Loco Skates, UKSkate, The Conference (USD, Undercover, Xsjado, Kizer) Ground Control, Razors, Glaceau VitaminWater & Be-Mag.
On March 26, 2011 the third annual New Orleans Bayou Bash went down with over 20 competitors. Competitors were mainly from the south coast (Texas, Atlanta, Florida, Mississippi) and local New Olreanians which was great. Everything from the hammers, to the burgers, to the after party was amazing.
At first, frustration sets in hearing once again the late announcements of this years Barn Burner; thinking to myself Great no one will show! With an epic history filled with the biggest names followed by tricks for the books the Barn Burner needs no introduction. Although after last years contest the idea of this year had everyone questioning.
