2011 Badger Bladeoff Be-Mag·August 11, 2011The first Saturday in September brings you Wisconsins finest at a local skatepark up on Jellystone Park Drive in the town of Warrens. I know what youre thinking; Jellystone, Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, Ranger Smith Yeah, theyll all be there. Well, probably not. But, what you will find is a competition hosting all levels of talent at a monstrous skatepark with a guarantee of gloves coming off and some burly and super-tech tricks going down. Daniel Kinney, founder and organizer of Bitter Cold Showdown, brings you the second annual Badger Bladeoff, a competition that is sure to that adrenaline pumping. So, whether its to spectate, initiate, player hate, or dominate, dust off that helmet and grab a crisp new Jackson (thats a U.S. 20 spot for those of you unfamiliar with some dead presidents) before heading over to the cheese state. Green and yellow, optional.
Go High Contest 2011 in Jastrzebie, Poland Be-Mag·August 11, 2011Jestrzebie's Zdroj competition aims at amateur and professional skaters and BMX/MTB riders. The competition itself will be held in a form of a jam session, a few minute heats where a number of skaters/riders show off their skills at the same time. The best of which will proceed to the next stage. This promotes face to face rivalry and is very entertaining for the spectators. The organizers have also planned a Best Trick competition to provide some breath taking stunts for the audience. The Inline skating part of the event is also a great opportunity for riders to collect additional points for the Triada Polish Rolling League.

Chosen Few Comp at We Are One Skatepark in Utah Be-Mag·July 27, 2011When us skaters talk about doing it right or being professional Zach Nelson and Matt Farnworth are people that come up quick under that definition. They are the owners of We Are One skate park. A skate park completely built by them personally for rollerbladers. This indoor park was professionally done. Nice wood, good coping, everything slides for a change even before you wax it, It's like skating woodward. So ACHOSEN-FEW.COM decided to team up with them to do a nice crazy competition the first week they officially opened the park. We decided to make the format a street format considering it is a part of the Chosen Few street comp series.

NYC Street Invite: Final Competitors List & Wildcard Nominations Be-Mag·July 18, 2011The time has come and the final competitor list for the 2011 NYC Street Invitational is finished. We have taken our time choosing the absolute best street skaters from all over the world to bring to New York City and we think we have a pretty amazing competitor list put together. Now onto those Wild Card spots that we have promised: Due to the nature of the competition we will not have time for a qualifications or Amateur competition. Our main priority is to give those invited to the event every opportunity to shred what we will be putting in front of them. We will be accepting suggestions for the 5 remaining Wild Card spots for the NYC Street Invitational. The top 5 submitted bladers will be invited to the competition. One submission per person so choose wisely.
