This Saturday, June 4, at Battery Park in New York City marks the battlegrounds for one of the ten A Chosen Few competitions. Top rider gets a prize of $150 and an automatic move on to the ACF finals in Los Angeles. But, what is really at stake is the respect earned while each rider pushes their own limits, earning respect in the skate community while paying homage to the NYC comps of the past.
Registration starts at 1:00pm and at the moment the hour hand rests firmly on 2, it all commences. First, it begins with the classic benches. Following this will be the infamous ‘high ledge.’ Bring you’re A-game because third and final will be the Staten Island stadium ledges and rails where it all began before you were ever lacing up your boots. NYC, the stomping ground of legends. Skill and technique will bring you glory, but only steez will put you in the minds of the afterthoughts. Will you be ready?
