Foley square would be the meet up location for the End of the World session with the Valo Team. Bladers came from all boroughs in NYC for a chance to hang out and skate with some of their favorite pros. Present were Jon Julio, Erik Bailey, Franco Cammayo, Alex Broskow, Ivan Narez, Brandon Smith and Victor Arias. The session began on the steps of the Supreme Court Building, where people seemed to be getting worked coming off the court house gap.

Recently I took a trip to a small village in Belize, where I did some volunteer work for a place called Liberty Children's Home. Prior to leaving I contacted my friend Justin from Amall to see if he would be in to sending some stuff down for the kids. Even though my trip had nothing to do with skating, Justin was more than willing to send me down we some things to help contribute.
Linköping Skateweek 2011 Grand Jam with the Yasutoko brothers and Tony Hawk Be-Mag·May 31, 2011On Saturday 14th of May the demo team gathered for the last time. We were supposed to do the pre-demos before the big show inside Cloetta Center which is Linköpings big sport arena where they usually host hockey games. Around 8000 people went by the mini and watched for a bit before heading into the big show so I guess we had a big crowd watching that day.

1st Sunday Session at Lincoln Skate Plaza Be-Mag·May 26, 2011First Sundays was awesome as usual, we had over 50 people at this session come out and enjoy a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon at the new Lincoln Skate Plaza. We had people like Kruise Sapstein, Rob G, Anthony Williams, Russell Day, Chris Calkins, Rudy Avila, of course Jeremy Soderburg who is one of the organizers and a ton of other rippers. The skate park has such a nice flow to it and I spent most of my time on skating the nice small p-rail which was a lot fun for everyone. We had a 50 person p-rail session going on at one point during the day.

I usually meet my friends from Stuttgart and Munich very rarely, too. A good movie and the facts that Marco Baltrokko is about to become a father, Highspeed Manu moves together with his long-time girlfriend and Daniel Rothenberger just got 30 years contributed in the title: Old Men In New Parks.
Reconstruction of Rolling Rock Skatepark in Switzerland Be-Mag·May 18, 2011The Rolling Rock skate shop & park was founded in 1996 by Simon Eichenberger and Thomas Georg. Local heroes like Beni Huber started skating here and the Rolling Rock Team consisted of influential Swiss skaters like Sandro Brun, Jona Messerli, Cossimo Tassone und Beat Schillmeier. Theres just a small market for "aggressive" skating in Switzerland and thats one of the reasons why the skatepark is built to cater to families and their weekend recreation. A round course, hockey fields, a trampoline and lots of small stuff to have fun on with the family. Of course there was the big vert ramp and the large curved quarter which fills one entire side of the park.
