Our journey continues and we've made some new friends and we bring you for this update some more stories and screenshots of the upcoming "Malta Experience Edit".
Enjoy.(Tour is over, so the days mentioned in the text are from last week!)
Barn-Burner is going down this weekend. Here you can see Aaron Feinberg, Jake Dotson and some more ripping it up at the course - one day before.
Enjoy.
My friend Yann Dufeil, won a paid trip to Malta, Thank you MTV, and he took me along with him and we brought our skates and hope to find some spots and do some sort of "spot check" of the Island...so far besides bombing downhills and the skatepark, we havent found that many street spots.
Tomorrow we hope to meet Brandon Calleja and skate with him!
We posted up the last section of Canadian video Picture Me Rolling last week. It's been a great journey but sadly all things come to an end. Here's a quick interview with Daniel Lefebre, the creator of Picture Me Rolling, as well as a chance for you to catch up with the video in case you've missed it!
Jeremy picked me up mid day and we decided to cruise downtown Seattle to find spots that were brand new or looked upon in the past. Because parking in downtown is extremely competitive we had to park in a hidden lot in between some abandoned buildings. Taking the risk of getting a citation we decided it was more important to strap on the blades and not waste anymore day light.
Honey Baked just made its way to Europe and will be available at your local shop soon. Check out the trailer if you haven't already and consider a purchase. You won't be disappointed!
The Carbon 2's are currently the only skates on the market that can be heat molded. Check out what Don Bambrick hast to say about this process and give it a shot if you own a pair.
Without wanting to do too much self-trumpet-blowing, it has occurred to me that our team at LocoSkates is an outstanding collection of UK rollerblading talent. It's also occurred to me that we have alot of fun when we travel. Nor did it slip my mind that Scotland is not only a great market for us at LocoSkates.com, but is full of killer street spots, incredible skateparks and inspired, pro-active, hospitable people. The LocoSkates LoveScotland tour had to happen.
We're back with the final section from the Picture Me Rolling saga. If you haven't been following our releases this winter on Be-Mag take a moment to watch some great skating from some very talented Canadians.
Kevin is a young father and an old skater. He has seen the sport since its early beginnings and still is heavily involved in the sport. He learned to skate in the famous Marseille Bowl and was known as Toto Ghalis' little brother for a long time. Together they traveled across the world competing and promoting the sport.
You've probably already seen these skates and most definitely liked how they looked. How could you not like this clean EVO UFS Thrones by USD? Okay, if you're still not convinced you will after watching this ad.
Nik has been a big part of my beginnings in skating, him amongst other guys from the International School in Geneva, Switzerland...were the only young riders in Geneva. I didn't hang out much with the older skaters because I was kinda of a dickhead, but we all grow up and look back laughing at how stupid we were....anyway.
Nik is a truly good friend, and I really miss the time we spent in Geneva, skating, talking shit, being young and having fun...he even made it to the same public school as I a few years later, and a couple before he moved back to Malaysia.
I've seen him again of course, shortly, during comps, and I'm just glad he kept on rolling and I consider him as one of the sickest skaters in south east asia region!- Nicolas Schopfer
BHC Proudly present our newest team rider, Dre Powell. Dre's new pro wheel just went into production and we have just begun filming for the new team DVD. A big year ahead for us at BHC.
