After this year’s Winterclash in Eindhoven, the Ground Control International team decided to head towards warmer weather and made a stop back on familiar territory in Barcelona, Spain.
Newly appointed team manager Keaton Newsom was there for a few weeks with team riders Scott Quinn, Mathias Silhan, Elliott Stevens, Kirill Galushko, Dre Powell, Alex Burston, Joe Atkinson, Kåre Lindberg and Yuri Botelho, with Billy Doyle & Jonas Hansson documenting the whole journey on video.
I was fortunate enough to be around at some of the sessions and see these men shred hard and party hard throughout the Catalan capital. With the new Featherlite 3 frame being skated and new prototype hardware being put through their paces, the mix of veteran skaters and young bloods was a breath of fresh air. It’s a sign that Ground Control are looking towards the future, constantly pushing the direction of their team and the boundaries of their hardware designs as one of the most dynamic skate companies in our industry.
Be-mag is proud to show you an exclusive photo gallery shot by the birthday boy Mr. Galushko, giving you a glimpse into what went down during the tour.
