You wake up this one last time. And this last party on the skatepark leaves you with one last serious hangover. The logical conclusion to one week of blading, partying, and enjoying great live music with a colorful bunch of bladers from all over the world. Roskilde Festival is now over. And if you are sad the best week of the year just ended, you keep a smile on your face, knowing that in only 51 weeks from now, you will be back in Roskilde, ready to do it all over again!
On this last epic Saturday, once again you treated yourself with great music: you finally met Benjamin Booker, and witnessed a stunning Nils Frahm performance in Avalon. The good times kept rolling as Paul McCartney stole everyone’s heart: most definitely one of this year’s festival highlights, which would be impossible to put into words if not for this one: love. You then traveled to the Arena with the Africa Express, and visited far away planets with a surprise Øresund Space Collective show. You eventually ran away from the closing Suspekt concert on the Orange stage and got lost in time, unfortunately missing the final Jamie XX act which sent the Apollo to the moon.
But there is no regrets to be had, as once again Roskilde has been an overwhelming, magic experience. This time again, you tried to put words on something that can’t be put into words: thankfully, special reporter Dominik Wagner came through with a selection of his best pictures of the whole week to round things up, and most probably give you a better idea of why the most exhausting, unhealthy, dirtiest week of the year, also never fails to be the best. So long Roskilde, and see you soon!
