Mesmer Skates has made quite the impact on the inline skating landscape since their inception. When blading icon Billy O’Neill teamed up with Powerslide to bring new life to one of most popular skate models in the Throne skate; originally released by USD over twenty years ago; we knew he was onto something big. With a proven base to start with, the brand created a unique marketing style & assembled a team of similarly minded skaters with a penchant for raw & hardcore skating to represent them. The infamous Shima Skate Manufacturing company (RIP) had a similar vibe to their branding & imagery & with their demise, it left many skaters with a punk rock ethos with little to relate to in the inline skating community. Now it seems that Mesmer has seemingly filled the void left by SSM many a moons ago.
And now Mesmer has made another power-move in rewarding one of the most ground-breaking individuals on their team their very own signature pro model skate. That goes to none other than Levi Van Rijn! Levi has been absolutely slaying everything in his path since he was a young prodigy skater & for years he has been perfecting his craft & has molded himself into one of blading’s strongest & most appealing representatives. To kick off the release of his first pro model with Mesmer, Levi linked up with renowned videographer Cavin Brinkman of Plastic Pushers to film his much-anticipated new promo video, which was edited by Mesmer team-mate Marc Moreno.
One aspect of Levi’s skating that makes him so appealing is that his skating is never predictable & always keeps you guessing on what unorthodox approach or direction his tricks are going to go. He is also blessed with an uncanny level of control that allows him to create even the most mind-boggling combinations with immaculate style & control. Peep his new promo & be sure to pick up a pair of his new skates here before they are gone, as they are selling like hot-cakes from what we hear!
