The AGV Team is currently roadtripping through Belarus. If you are keen on seeing some rolling off the beaten tracks then follow their updates here on Be-Mag!
For their 2011 clothing line launch the velvet couch clothing owners created a shooting scene that you don't see that often. All their team members (Bladers, bikers, dancers and sprayers) came together to shred on or perform in front of a van. You have no clue what we are talking about, just watch this crazy and sexy video.
This past week we were given the opportunity to go to Woodward West and have an official Razors Week in the mountains of Tehachapi, California. During the week Dre Powell, Julian Bah, Rachard Johnson, Erik Rodriguez and myself were all able to be in attendance. For many years the name Woodward has been associated with great skate parks and a summer destination for extreme athlete enthusiasts. Growing up I never had the opportunity to experience the camp aspect of Woodward, it was not until I turned pro that I was able to visit the facility and enjoy everything they had to offer.
When we arrive in Vienna it rains. We use this day to relax, work on the edits and the pictures in hopes that tomorrow will be better. After an early and hearty breakfast, Wolf, our guide for this stop, arrives at exactly 10am, ready to help us to discover the city. He takes us to a long S-shaped red curb, a bit jaded by the many riders that have previously skated it but our team is happy to have a go at it. The session suddenly comes to an end by the heavy rain that starts to fall on our heads. While Rob continues to grind the pavement he gets soaked to the bone.
Behind the scenes with Jon Julio. This edit features an in depth view on how the Valo JJ lights were developed. Plus skating by JJ, AB and EB. Introducing the Valo JJ Light by Jon Julio.
We are back with our first summer session! This time it took us a bit longer to decide which location would be best to host our 17th session. Yes, its our 17th session and we are still doing this 'cause we love this shit!
Not sure if anyone really needs to be encouraged to cop some UCON gear but... Well, let's put it this way: the more quickly the guys move their old stock the earlier we'll get to see the new line. And you know you want to see the new line badly...
Infernal is in the rolling business since 10 years now and supports rolling since its beginning. Reason enough for us to give you a little insight behind the scenes with this interview with Infernal owner, Jonas Pöltl.
Aerial7 obviously knows what's good for them. The stylish headphone company picked Dick Heerkens as another ambassador for their brand and products. Check out his brand new Aerial7 edit here on be-mag.
For this latest version of its OS4 Color Series Remz inspired charismatic Pro Nick Wood [aka The Woodster] to come up with his own thing! Renown for his positive and facetious outlook on skating the unique Woodster chose silver, or more precisely "keg silver", because for Nick it's always time to have a good time and enjoy skating for what it is: fun!
During Montre's stay in the Netherlands we were so busy skating, that not all of the street clips from Amsterdam could be put in the small live update edit. I finally had the time to make a proper edit with the tricks that weren't used yet!
Just in time for back-to-school Razors is releasing the latest edition of its Humble backpack series: The school bag sized skate bag comes with skate holder, large main compartment, front pocket, media port, mesh side pockets, padded back, articulated, pre-shaped shoulder straps, high end Nylon and rip-stop materials.
Over the weekend Farmer contacted us and let us know that he was going to be involved in a new project and would be leaving Create. Although, we are sad to see him go we are happy to have had the time we did with Chris on our team. Not only is he a talented blader but a great dude as well. We wish him all the best of luck with this and all other future projects.
Timmy van Rixtel and Jeroen Wullems got 100 for a skate demo and decided to spend the money going on a small tour through the Netherlands. With no plan where to go they managed to find lots of new spots and had lots of fun. Sleeping in the car and being hungry was their daily routine. They asked people for money and sold old stuff. That's how they survived.
As I got to know Gabriel Hyden we were like 13 or 14 years old. We got in touch through a msgboard where he was more than just an active user. Back then everyone knew him as 'Gape' and lots of people made fun of him when he started his own clothing company back then. The first time we met up was shortly after that when we went on a two week skating vacation in Austria. There it happened, he fully got me.
Last year was a great turn out, the whole Valo team, Razors team, as well as the top pros came to hang out. Free tacos provided by a local mexican market, free product giveaways, fun in the sun with good people and friends. Come if you can make it!
