Just after Christmas everyone was juiced for a skate, so Scottishrolling lads got together on Tuesday 28th and even though the skatepark was so busy we still managed to bring another sick edit featuring Zak Buys, Chris Goldie, Arron McMurray & Scott Riddles.
Here it is, the first montage from the shitty city thats always sunny, Renfer. Most of this footage was shot during the summer and fall of 2010. Everyone really came through with footy to make this montage happen. So happy new year and suck it.
Sideshow Rodeo is now shipping worldwide to stores. Jamie from Footage Tape gives us an insight on the project. Read about the new DVD release produced by Footage Tape and see the first trailer, along with a behind the scenes on the Fire edit and David Sizemore.
What follows is excerpts from a 30 page essay I wrote about Ian's and my mini-tour in December 2010. I've excluded some important, memorable events for brevity's sake involving Toy Story 3, a penis-obsessed Olympic athlete, Mike Lilly, and somebody pepper-spraying a sandwich. It is partly about rollerblading, but mostly a journal I kept while I was traveling. There are a few manipulations of time, but nothing drastic. Some paragraphs were literally copied and pasted out of context so it's not the most cohesive, fluent writing style. Deal with it.
New contest concept at the Forward Freestyle skatepark in Belgium. If you fall, you have to take a shot. Some might fall on purpose, other might stay sober. Check it out.
The NIMH DVD will be released as a Blu-ray, too. This version of the team video will include second profiles of Bolino, Montre and Short, 2 extra montages, falls, alternate angles and much more.
The video puts the viewer into the individual sections sort of like other videos. With footage around weird, experimental and sometimes silly tricks, it creates a feeling that they went and filmed themselves rollerblading.
That's an office one would adjust to pretty easily, I guess. Looks like chill work ethics, too. I wonder if Razors is still hiring after they've just added Alex Burston to the team? Going to clean up my résumé now...
David Sizemore is the epitome of professionalism. Even though he extracts copious amounts of joy from skating, he handles like it's strictly business. He's a blading powerhouse who further perfects his art with each session. Check out this promo edit and catch the whole section in Sideshow Rodeo!
Besides being busy with university exams, Jens came up with this pretty decent edit for 2010. Check him out, you'll love his style. Filmed by Mark Heuss, Alex Rudolf, Chris Hack and Marian Sorge.
The video by Brett Dasovic and Blake Cohen is now online on vimeo. Jeff Dalnas, Josh Ulrichsen, Michael Garlinghouse, Jeph Howard and Brett himself have sections.
This is the trailer for a rollerblading documentary by Witalis Szumilo Kulczycki about Polish rollerbladers that went to UK in search of better life, money, maturity and adulthood. The film presents 4 profiles as well as montage sections with Polish, Scottish, Irish and Czech rollerbladers.
