Bitter Cold Showdown XI Rollerblading Contest will take place at Modern Skate Park in Royal Oak, Michigan on February 25 & 26, 2011. Book your flights, this is an event not to miss!
Forward Freestyle is pushing the Belgium scene strongly recently. There is no doubt about this. Since Mihai Bivol from Switzerland takes care of Forward Freestyle's media outlet we are all able to share some great skating! As you might have seen this weekend, the FF team organized a big event, the B4 Winterclash Battle, that attracted a big amount of rollers from the surrounding countries. Now he sent us the compilation edit and if you were already stoked by the live-updates edit, then this will completely blow your mind! Get ready for some big hammers.
Going into this I knew that it was going to be hectic. For years I have been hosting local shows and helping promote parties so as putting it all together and making people want to come would not be a problem. I mean if you think about all I really did was state the obvious. It is the middle of January, of course it is Too Cold To Blade Outside.
Starting this Friday, Mihai Bivol will keep you informed about whats going down in the Forward Freestyle Skatepark in Roeselare, Belgium. Plenty of top-notch skaters are either already in attendance or on their way to FF to take part in the B4 Winterclash Battle that will take place there this weekend.
Winterclash 2010 is coming up fast. Those of you that have a ticket will most likely count the days. Jojo had some important meetings in Eindhoven last week and we met up with him at this year's venue to ask him a few questions about the Winterclash 2011. Bart Laubsch from Berlin accompanied Jojo on his short trip to Eindhoven and filmed him flowing through the venue. Jojo's good friend and Rollerblade Pro Sven Boekhorst also showed up to join the session. Enjoy!
Lovely Sophie Planque of Sessions.fr sat down with Johannes Jacobi to talk about the state of the Winterclash and its re-invention for 2011. Watch out for more of this busy guy on Be-Mag. Soon.
Check this report of the Snowy Day in the Mitten contest that took place on December 18th, 2010. This contest has been going strong for years and has now even become an WRS event. Have a look at a couple pics and an amazing edit!
This edit almost makes me feel bad...? Well, that poor little skatepark definitely got beat up pretty badly during the Swedish Championships. What a pity...
First held in 1996, the X-Mas Jam has been going strong for many years now. Known for righteous skating and good atmosphere, this event is here to stay for another 15 years. Easily. Check out a bunch of photographs from the competition as well as quotes of people that attended the '10-edition of the Jam to find out more about the vibe of an event that has skaters coming from the Netherlands, Denmark, Poland as well as France every year to celebrate Rollerblading at the I-Punkt Skateland in Hamburg.
The Polish Rolling League finals just went down at the Kamuflage skatepark in Warsaw this past month. Check out some pics by Piotr Glodzik and a dope edit by Adam Hofbauer. Poles are the new Swiss.
Here we go again. The wait is over and the Winterclah 2011 is on its way. It
took us a while to figure out if, or in which way, the Winterclash can stay
alive, but in the end it was obvious that it had to happen somehow. "Back to
Basics" is the key for 2011. We will keep it simple this time and are moving
back into a skatepark.
Although I am not able to give a review on my own video, I will say that the premiere was absolutely amazing. The theatre was proper as hell and we had a turn out of almost 200 people.
This is the last street comp put on by ACHOSEN-FEW.com. Skating by Tyler Hester, Jeff Dalnas, Russel Day, Anthony Luna, Steve Cortez, Erick Rodriguez, Dave Jones, Ian McLoed, Daniel Rosato and many more.
Wojda, Bah, Sizemore, Breuer, Livingston & Braud all rippin' it up at this years HoHoHoes in Atlanta. Nothing out of the ordinary you say? Well, this time they're doin' it on horribly wet ground.
