With a huge event such as the 2011 Bitter Cold Show Down, photographers are never too far away and ready to get that epic shot. This year it would be no different for me. During our 13 hour drive from NYC to Royal Oak, MI I had ample amount of time to contemplate how my shots of this weekends events would differ from others. The shots that make headlines would of course be taken on the floor where all the action happens. But sometimes we forget that these competitors are also fans of rollerblading themselves.

The current world #1 Cj Wellsmore showed exactly why he deserved 1st place with his mix of smooth lines, huge spins and grind variations on the box. Josh Neilson came in 2nd with his solid array of tricks, not only on the box, but all over the park. Hadrian Bastouil showed some slick park and ledge skills that secured him 3rd place. Filmed & edited by Thomas Dalbis.
Well, the dust has settled and cash has been collected. While we get ourselves together, Ryan Loewy comes through with some photos of the Am contest. Enjoy.
