Contest Report: 2011 Victorian Inline Skating Titles in Melbourne, Australia Be-Mag·September 29, 2011There are two park contests in the Australian rolling scene that have been happening every year for a long time, "The Aussie's" and "The Vics", The Australian Titles being the higher-profile national event that tends to showcase the finest in the country, and the Victorian Titles that hosts the best skating the state of Victoria has to offer, plus whoever else from around the country turns up, and this year was quite an interstate turnout. This tends to be the case these days when it comes to events put on by RollVic, a group of skaters who basically want to see events like these as an opportunity for the sport to grow, for skaters to come together, and for amazing skating to take place. This year's Vic Titles fulfilled exactly those goals, with four of the top five in the Open finals coming other capitol cities.

Last Man Standing: Results Be-Mag·September 18, 2011This weekend hosted the annual 2011 Last Man Standing competition in New York City and showed the world that rollings undying thirst to bring bladers together could not be stopped by even mother nature and the worst she could throw. Several weeks ago New York City, along with the rest of the eastern seaboard of the United States, was pounded by Hurricane Irene. As if that wasnt enough, in the wake of all damages caused a tropical storm soon followed up and added to the destruction. The Last Man Standing event was supposed to take place over the weekend following Billy ONeils New York City Street Invitational. Unfortunately, due to the circumstances with the condition of New York City at the time the event was postponed indefinitely. Lucky for us and the spirit of rolling LMS was rescheduled for this weekend and only several hours ago it all went down, burly as usual, and Staten Islands own Franco Cammayo represented his local scene and took first place.
Contest Report: Chosen Few Finals 2011 in Los Angeles Be-Mag·September 13, 2011So the ACF Finals this year were about as crazy as it can get. This may be starting to get repetitive but I will say it again because I really do mean it. Chosen Few's main goal is to expose new talents around the world, challenge skaters to push themselves to their full potential and to put on amazing events for all to enjoy! The Chosen Few Finals are now being known as one of the most difficult competitions around. We're not going to lie about that either. Our finals will always be an intense and challenging competition. You may get one easy spot at the beginning but that's about it. No matter what the last obstacle is, it will not be easy. It might be a huge down rail or it might be something random but we will guarantee that it will always have the competitors pushing themselves and skating their hardest.

Scandinavian Real Street Championships 2011 Contest Report Be-Mag·September 8, 2011We had a good hour of session, and the sign-ins of skaters in the competition was finally over. The new spot at the SEB buildings was just as we expected it to be: great for rollerblading. The surface made of smooth concrete turning and tossing like a river down a lazy sloped hill, with the occasional curb to skate and a big two meter gap in the ending made it a rollerblading fantasy.
