    You may have heard of this new skate brand from the Netherlands, 'adapt'. You may also already be friends with them on facebook. If the latter is the case, you might have noticed that they weren't providing too much info about what they were actually brewing over there in Holland. Well, this now changes with this very Company Profile on Be-Mag. Olga Bouwhuis and Pieter Wijnant founded adapt 20 months ago because they saw potential for hand crafted skates made from high quality materials. And here they are now, explaining to us where this has taken them so far.

    I made a mini box out of a bookshelf. Skated it a bunch of different ways in my backyard and took it to some spots to get some clips before I got kicked out of a couple of them. -Chynna Weierstall

    Don Bambrick is a class act. Not only does he rip when he blades, but he can also beat some ass on a ping-pong table… a pool table… or a dartboard. Just not on a poker table... On any regular day, you might find him babysitting his nieces with his lady, working around the house, or cheering on the Red Wings. Don’s blading reflects an athlete’s precision along with an artist’s passion; he has an excellent eye. He is closing 2011 with the most refined USD Carbon yet, and entering 2012 with a no-holds-bar section for VX. Blading is on the up and up, and Don is right there with it.

    David Sizemore has been "good" for some time now, but as you know being good doesn't always make you accepted amongst your peers. I don't think anyone can say just what "it" is that makes you accepted in our culture. Tightness of pants, choice of slang, style of hair, who you hang out with, what your elbow is doing when you land. Styles have changed so drastically since my days as a "youth", I don't really know what's acceptable these days.

    Dave is one of these metropolitan suburb kids that have the rare talent of using their skates in a very natural way; it seems that this kid has concrete in his veins. He doesn't slam, he falls like a cat, always landing on his feet. He has the ability to grind longer and faster than most of us. Growing up in one of the toughest neighbourhoods in Berlins East End, 'Marzahn', Dave found a way to use Rollerblading as an art of moving and stepping out of the grey everyday life Marzahns monotonous architectured slabs entail. Combining raw rail skating, parkour and fluid ramp skating as his basics, he got a wide range of tricks and possibilities to push his own limits. And this is just the beginning...

    And they say drinking doesn't lead to good ideas. Well, when the risk is worth the adventure it sometimes takes a few bottles of an ice cold brew to push the best decision that a road trip from Florida to New York is more than worth it. Wild Bill and Kyle Guilford made a choice decision in heading straight to Orlando for the first two and a half hour flight straight up the coast to Billy's first annual NYC Street Invitational. Not 100% if they made the right decision? Well, maybe you haven't been paying attention to the rolling world but at nearly three weeks later it is still at the top of everyone's mind. So, after you read up on this you may want to school yourself and watch the several dozen edits that have surfaced since the comp.
