JUMBO: LAFAYETTE, LOUISIANA

The Jumbo Boys recently went east to the beautiful city of Lafayette, Louisiana, for a weekend of shenanigans. Once again, the crew comes out with a hilarious and fun-filled video from their trip. Cody Sanders had this to say about their trip.

I’d wanted to take a trip through Lousiana with the boys for a while. I think it’s one of the cooler places in the States for skating. Not just for skating, but that’s the only reason I think I could get the group together for the trip. Louisiana has been featured on and off in videos over the years, but usually it’s just New Orleans. So my goal with this one was to try and show Lafayette for what it is. Which, would have been possible if not for all of the rain.

For most of the skate trips we take, this would have ruined everything. This specific trip however, this one time, we had access to the indoor park. Magnolia skatepark opened just a couple of years ago and they have an airbnb on the property you can rent. The owner, Ooti was kind of enough to let us in before/after hours as well. This made the entire trip worth it.

There’s already a lot of eating food in this edit (it’s what I like to film the most), but there would have been a lot more of that had it not have been for Magnolia. Jumbo, obviously, is a skate channel. It’s what brings us together. But once we’re together, what else? I don’t want to just go to a city, skate the spots, go back to the airbnb and eat a sandwich. If skating is the call to adventure, why not adventure? And if you’re there to film the skating, why not film the rest of it too? That’s why there’s a lot more than just skating in my videos.

Anyways, I’ve rambled on enough. We’re coming back, hopefully with no rain. We’re going to New Orleans. We’re going to REALLY do it. “We’ll come back.”

Thank you Isaac, Sky and everyone at Magnolia.
