After the massive success of last year’s event, Noiya Clothing is once again organizing its annual rollerblade jam at The House Skatepark, Sheffield. Mike Welland will be back in town to defend his title from last year, he walked away with the first prize of £300 cash, closely followed by Elliott Stevens in second with his £150 cash. Those that were in attendance at the afterparty last year will know that a large proportion of that cash went on Champagne.
Once again there will be cash prizes, giveaways, food, a DJ and a Noiya Clothing stall set up with the new 2010 line available exclusively at this event. There will be a UK-Skate stall as well.
On the day there will be 3 different jams:
1 – 15 and under -12pm start (Qualifier for AIL 15 and under session @ SlammJamm XII)
2 – Open – 2pm start
3 – Expert/Sponsored – 4pm start
The format will be 5 people skating the park in 5 minute rounds, with the judges favourite from each round going through to the semi-finals where the top two will go through to the final. There is a limit of 30 riders in each category, so make sure you get down early to secure your place. Park opens at 10.30am, closes at 7pm.
Entry will be £5 whether you are spectating, skating or entering the jam.
Supported by Kingdom Magazine, UKSkate, Xsjado, USD, Chimera, Alchemy skates, Kizer, Undercover, Sifika and Stygma so far.
There is a massive afterparty organized as well in collaboration with the ever-bassy Subtitle at Corporation night club based in a convenient city centre location. Cookie Monsta And Flux Pavillion are headlining the show, with one of Noiya Clothing’s DJs and producer Kidnap Kid supporting, so why not stay for the weekend. Come party afterwards and skate some of Sheffields infamous street spots on the sunday. Its going to be a session!
