Home Events Competitions Photos and words by Corey Oringderff, @coreyoringderff Atlanta, May 30th, 2026.The second stop of the NISS tour was the 5th annual Captains of Concrete competition. I checked the weather on my flight home from Texas the day before the competition, and I had every expectation of rain. The evening before showed constant storms until 8 am; the morning of showed rain from noon to 2, but the blade gods shone upon us, and the competition went off dry and hot. When I pulled up, I started setting up my canopy by the new box Patrick Anderson and his homies were building. I don’t know why I thought that box was going to be easy coming from the top (I’m not launching out of the quarter pipe doing flips to grinds like Eric Michael), but I assume my balance needs some work. After they got the thing built, I started watching people battle it out, showing me how challenging it really was. I decided to put my skates on and got a topsoul on it before picking up the camera for the afternoon. (Grind box shown below)Tri Tri-Rudolph- Super stylish Sweatstance on the big boxThe Hapeville skatepark had the typical arrangement of ramps with round PVC on top of all of the ledges. The park is pretty compact, but the addition of the old and new obstacles kept it fresh. From the young rippers to the Bladies, intermediates and advanced skaters, I was constantly seeing smiles on everybody’s faces. Old and new friends and missed friends, the event showed how good a community Richard Williams from SK8TL has built with this competition.Young blader- FishbrainHuge thanks to the vendors for showing up with physical product for sale and the great moments of catching up with old homies. Faction Skate Company had their team out, Mode 6 had their skateshop in attendance, and Jan Welch from Dream Urethane was there with all their new wheels and his fresh hats and tees.Thank you to all the incredible vendors who supported the 2026 Cap ConI’ll let the photos speak for most of the skating. I’ve never been the guy to be able to piece my day back together through contest photos, but these fellas and ladies ripped all day through the heat.Against all odds, fighting the weather, I’m glad to say this year’s Capcon was a huge success; I already can’t wait to be back to capture these smiling faces again next year.Montre Livingston won the advanced division, best trick, and the quad comp.Eric Michael got 2nd, and Cody Forester got 3rd place in the advanced division.Chynna Weierstall won the Bladies competition.Congratulations to all the competitors.Zach Leavell- Alley Oop Topside PornstarStephanie Bennett- SoulTony Woodland- Alley Oop PornstarCoach Gripper on the course!Montre Livingston- Front SavannahAnddy “Crxck” Feliciano- Back TorqueChris Edwards- Airman grab to box (If that is not the name, it should be)Tony Woodland- Front TorquePatrick Andersen- True TopsoulMontre Livingston- Fakie bio 540Montre Livingston- Fakie bio 540Tucker Freeland- True TopsoulSlamity JaneSlamity JaneJudges deliberatingArsenio Patterson- Alley Oop TopacidArsenio Patterson- Alley Oop Topacid (Switch?)Chynna Weierstall- FishbrainChynna Weierstall- True Spin MizouTri Tri-RudolphEric Michael- Handspring from bowl to bankJimmy Cisz- Topside Rough PornStarUnknown Quad skater- HandstandPatrick Andersen- SweatstanceEddie Chung- TabernacleTad Tregeagle- Topsoul upCody Forrester- Alley Oop TopacidCody Forrester- Backside TorqueRobert Arias- FishbrainTucker Freeland- Truespin SavannahSk8er Samy- SoulQuad skater- Carving QPSalvador Hernandez- Kind GrindSk8er Samy- Front FarfMontre Livingston- Truespin TopsoulRob Thompson & Cameron Card- Soul and Torque Soul?- Front Flip to RollEric Michael- Frontflip to Soul attemptPatrick Andersen- Alley Oop SoulTad Tregeagle- UnityZach Leavell- Alley Oop FishbrainArsenio Patterson- Truespin SavannahEddie Chung-Flying FishCody Forrester- Backside RoyaleChynna Weierstall-TopacidYoung bladerMontre Livingston- Backside Royale 450 outMontre Livingston- BackslideMontre Livingston- True Top SoulMontre Livingston- Alley Oop SoulMontre Livingston- MVP OF THE DAYFOLLOW ST8TL ON INSTAGRAM HERE & VISIT WWW.ALLINSTRIDEATL.COMBe sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more quality skate content.
