Arriving at the press conference I was amazing to see the Birds Nest, the location of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Franky informed me that the contest was being held inside the venue along with the press conference. Once inside the venue was hard to grasp the beauty and size of the structure that was build specifically for the Olympics in 2008, it truly is unlike any stadium I have ever seen. The press conference went very smooth and after about thirty minutes of answering questions dealing with rollerblading and myself we were on our way to skate a street spot near my hotel. We arrived to some cool line ledges downtown Beijing and was able to get my legs working for the first time after the long 18 hours of traveling the day before. After skating we headed back to the hotel, got ready and went out and enjoyed a nice dinner with the bmx guys and a couple of the organizers. At 10 pm the jet lag was in full effect and I felt like I had been up for about 24 hours, needless to say I hit the bed about 15 minutes later!
