The Boston Street Battle was started by Nature Skate Video in 2005. Brian Lewis and Hakeem Jimoh managed to put up $500 for first place and it brought out New England’s finest to compete on real street spots in Jamica Plains, MA. Brandon Ford ended up winning. In 2007 the event was picked Gabe Holm and the “BSB” joined forces with the Roll Series to become a regional qualifier in their inline street skating contest circuit.
The Boston Street Battle is a unique “renegade” style street contest that travels from spot to spot in the city. This year the event will feature a high jump competition, slalom demo, as well as 300 foot race in addition to the street contest on a mix of brought in and Real Street features.”
