The A.L.N.I.S competition is now going strong after a remarkable seventeen-year stretch & doesn’t look to be slowing down one bit! The Latvian street contest once again had a humongous turnout with competitors coming out to compete against some of the best bladers in all of Europe. The Shred Da Ground street contest has been around for over a decade now & the street contest set in Bordeaux France is one of the most anticipated inline skating events in Europe, and for good reason. The evening before I was due to go on my first-ever trip to Athens earlier this year in January, I realized I had no idea what the aggressive inline scene was like there. I happened to be at Bay 66 skate park, London when someone told me, “I heard there’s a Bladehouse in Athens, and they have an amazing annual competition.” I was headed to the Greek capital for three months.
