Everytime you see "Mark Heuss" in the credits of an edit, you can be sure this edit will be epic. So is this one featuring a bunch of great skaters: JC Rowe, Nicolas Schopfer, Marian Sorge, Roman Abrate, Diego Guilloud, Oli Benet, Jack Neveu and Philipp Preuss.Guest appearances by Adam Kola, James Sharp and Mark Heuss.
I don't know what it is with Switzerland but this small country in the middle of the Alps keeps on producing so of the finest European skaters and boosts a healthy skatescene. This trailer is proof of the ongoing process.
Amsterdam shredder Dick Heerkens recently had a shooting with a Dutch TV station that is focussed on extreme sports. Dick introduced Geraldine (the presenter) and all viewers into the world of Rollerblading. And of course hammered out some sweet tricks - also at one of the former IMYTA spots. Great job, Dick. Keep representing rollerblading!
Three years ago, us boys in Santee got pissed that all the good rails around here were capped, and we sucked at hand rails, so we asked our sponsors to help us build a training ground. 4X4, M1, and Remz contributed to us along with our own money to build a practice rail in Damien's yard. Since then we've been having regular legendary BBQ's and sessions like this one shown were we skate the rail and have good ole American fun. This weekend Damien, Rob, Joey and Sammy Chase and me (Nick Wood) got down like we always do all summer long. When I started seeing the "One Minute One Spot" edits I thought that our weekly BBQ's were perfect for that forum. If the Internet homo's want to bust my ball's about doing a Two minute edit they can do the math and see there is 58 seconds of skating, so suck it from Santee.
Mike Cannavo and I went up to L.A. yesterday and made an edit for the LA all day competition in Santa Monica. It was a really good turn out for the elite division skaters! Dave Jones was able to make it out and skate after having surgery on his knee from a horrible crash at Venice Beach Skatepark. Byron Paniagua skated very well. I had never seen this guy skate before, he blew me away! Definitely looking forward to seeing what Byron is up to next. The whole competition vibe was great and it was cool to see how many little kids were into it. Can't wait for the Final L.A. all day next month.
Jeremy Townsend and Bander Saleh are coming up with the SBS Promo 2010 edit. We really suggest you to join this extraordinary event. It will be the 10th and final round of the Street Battle Seattle comp. So be part of some rolling history.
So here is a pretty special "news" post for me, because it basically retraces my childhood and first days of street skating. This is a video made by one the Geneva Oldschooler, Mick. He pulled out footages from 1996 and seeing this again made my eyes water. Not only skaters style was exceptional back in these days, but also the tricks they were pulling off are still awesome for today! Enjoy watching this memorable edit that will bring you back to the future or "the true days" of Rollerblading. also featuring : Stephan De Freitas
When we didn`t have a proper skatepark, we spent hours at spots like this just for random chill sessions. Even though the approach is short, I guess it`s the coolest rail around my neighborhood, too bad you can blade there maybe once a week due to tight security. Anyway check the clip.
