It could be worse. Ending your year with an extreme sports festival on a beautiful island in Malaysia, with a dream setup of a skatepark located right next to the Ocean. That’s what a bunch of bladers, BMXers, skateboarders and mountain bikers thought as well, and thanks to the FISE we all made our way here to Langkawi. The first two days were spent exploring the island by walk, taxi and motorbikes. There are nice beaches, cozy beach bars and even a big club with live music every night.

The local people are extremely welcoming and they obviously love extreme sports. The vibe is incredible and already on Thursday we had a full house and the crowd was getting the party started right away. Next to the best amateur riders from all over the place, the FISE booked CJ Wellsmore, Julien Cudot, and Dominik Wagner for a handful of shows, and it didn’t take long during the first show for the crowd to express how much they absolutely loved it already.
Compared to the last FISE stop in China the vibe is a little bit more relaxed and instead of crazy party stories we can only tell you that everyone is definitely appreciating the weather, beautiful island and good times at the beach. I already got terribly sunburned, so my mission is completed and what’s left for me is spending the day on the mic, connecting the awesome crowd with our riders.
Enjoy Dominik Wagner’s photos; they will give a good impression of how it is to be out here. And don’t forget to check back for more, because this is only update 1!
