Veronica had this to say about the significance of that title, and what it meant to her personally.” I called the video UTOPIA because I just love how the word sounds. But it also ended up being the perfect way to describe how these trips felt. Every time we went away to skate, it honestly felt like stepping into another world. I know a perfect place doesn’t really exist—that’s literally what a utopia is, haha—but somehow, every trip felt exactly like that. The spots, the people, the sessions… everything just came together and felt almost surreal. I know it wasn’t actually perfect, but in those moments it really felt like it was. I guess that’s why UTOPIA felt like the right name.
