This year’s Winterclash is the 15th edition of the globally most important rolllerblading competition, and to give you a short glimpse into the expectations of the attending athletes, we reached out to them to share their thoughts on this year’s comp. We have the great pleasure to give the final spot of this year’s My Winterclash series to USD and Undercover’s pro Sam Crofts.

MY FIRST WINTERCLASH WAS…
My First Winterclash was the first year it was in Eindhoven, so 2009 I think? It was the year it was actually due to be held in Belgium and the skatepark got burnt down the day before! It was pretty mental, we were in Antwerp when we heard the news and thought it was all over…then we heard they’d relocated to Eindhoven and it was back on, that weekend was batshit.
MY FAVORITE WINTERCLASH WAS…
So many great ones to pick from, but I guess the year I won the Hanglosers Superbowl Contest, maaaate…you have no idea how much beer is in 100 beers until you have that and only 48 hours at a blade event to consume it!
I’M GOING TO WINTERCLASH BECAUSE…
Because I need another 100 beers?…Hahah nar, It’s the one event of the year that you can guarantee everyone will be at, its the biggest session and best party of the calendar…you know its gonna be special every single time. You get the chance to step back one minute, look around and see how fucking sick it is what we do.
I THINK X IS GOING TO WIN WINTERCLASH BECAUSE…
I honestly don’t think I know who’s gonna win, it’s always so difficult to call and this years line up is so heavy…Joe winning would be well deserved, but Pottier getting that hat trick would be pretty lit…Either way its set to be a banger, see you there!
