We’ve just gotten word from Jeroen Swerts, the organizer of the Nocturnus competition series, that they’re back this year for the 11th annual edition of the comp on August 27th.
This is what Jeroen has to say about this year’s comp: “So this year is our 11th edition and it’s going down on Saturday the 27th of August. Nocturnus is the ALL-NIGHT, rollerblade-only event held every year at the end of summer in the Concrete skateplaza of Hasselt, Belgium. Like always, a big international waterpolo-event is happening right next to the skatepark and everything is arranged with them that we can party in their big partytent with dj’s, buy food and drinks on site and even camp in the park next to the skatepark so you can sleep it off in the morning before going back home. And in agreement with the city the park-lights stay on until morning and we have the skatepark all to ourselves to hold small contests on random obstacles all through the night. We also bring our own generator for extra lights and music. So everything is definitely there to make it another great night for everyone!”
If you’re close or willing to travel, go join them to compete or chill!
Here’s an edit from a few years back to give you a taste of the atmosphere.
