FREAK4THESTREETS BY DANNY MALM

Danny Malm has just released his new full-length feature FREAK4THESTREETS, which features a who’s who of some of blading’s biggest professionals and some of NorCal’s best-kept secrets. FREAK4THESTREETS features a ton of appearances, including Michael Kraft, Rory Melehan, Jonathan Hall, Danny Malm, Jake Johnson, Cameron Talbott, Vash Moore, Korey Waikiki, Tais Colares, Soil Thornton, Johnny Moreno, Kenji Yee, Jamie Khammounetry, Isiah England, John Vossoughi & Louis Vossoughi, and many, many more!

Danny did an excellent job in the editing process of FREAK4THESTREETS, with his unique use of transitions and perfectly timed cuts leading into multiple angles and accentuating the skating obstacles and the environment around them. The video has a very light-hearted soundtrack, which Danny uses well in showcasing the skater’s colorful personalities and the overall joy of close friends during the filming sessions.

At a time when skating videography has gotten rather stale, Danny comes through with a thoroughly engaging video that keeps you locked in until the end. Which, at almost an hour long, is pretty hard to do, with many skaters’ attention spans ruined by prolonged viewing of short social-media snippets. The fact that the majority of the skating was very improvisational and rarely ever predictable helped to create a fresh and playful experience that I haven’t felt since the Honey Baked videos and classic Mindgame releases. Check out the video, and show some love to Danny by donating to his next video, or copp some awesome FREAK4THESTREETS merch as well.
