Home Media Our good friend Tom Moyse held his popular Rollerblading Awards for 2025 and, with the help of the skating community, raised a substantial amount of money for the winners again this year! You suggested the categories, you nominated your favourite skaters, you voted on the finalist and you raised the money for the prize fund! A truly community-driven rollerblading awards that celebrates and gives back to the skaters, while motivating them for the following year.2025 saw a rise in the volume of rollerblading videos, as well as an increase in their quality. There was more effort being put into well-crafted video parts, which is what drives the culture and keeps skating moving forward. I’ve heard from some of the best skaters in rollerblading that it was last year’s efforts and what we did as a community, raising a prize pot that gave them that extra boost and inspiration. Putting value into the awards, the skater’s efforts, and videos, which are the heart of rollerblading. I’m proud to say, for the first time in rollerblading, the 2024 Skate Awards had a prize, split equally between Male and Female Skater of the Year.This year brings another first. We have extended the prize pot to the Youth Skater of the Year. An important move to keep the younger rollerbladers inspired and motivated.Last year Sean Kelso, Chihiro Azuma and Ana Julia won Skater of the Year in their respective categories. Will they be able to retain their titles? They face tough competition from the likes of Nicoly Machado, Seao Jang, Yuto Goto, and many more.
