You can’t adequately talk about skate culture and particularly blading culture without acknowledging the immense impact that San Francisco California and it’s skaters have made. The coastal city has been regularly featured in blading media dating back to the earliest of Daily Bread and VideoGroove Magazines, it has been home to one of the strongest and most consistent crews in blading, the Juiced Sucka Foos, and Frisco was also the site for the very first IMYTA street contest that sparked a worldwide movement and created a foundation for countless other events like it.
One of San Francisco’s most noteworthy skate locations is the famous military “Bunkers”, which overlook the Golden Gate bridge which rests peacefully over the shores of San Francisco Bay. The Bunkers give one of the most picturesque backgrounds a videographer could ever ask for and one of blading’s most gifted filmmakers, Ivan Narez, used the Bunkers as the site for his newest profile featuring Rollerblade / Blank pro rider Cameron Talbott.
