We Are Valo 3 Premiere - 08/12/14

JJ: 2.5 or 3 ?
BS: 2.5... That's what it's been promoted as since the beginning.
JJ: I think it should be 3
BS: People will get confused and wonder what happened to 2.5
JJ: The video is definitely worthy of 3...just wait until you see how much all these guys pulled through

Needless to say the final decision was We Are Valo 3. The truth is everyone busted their ass to turn this project into more then what it was originally supposed to be. In it's early stages the video looked like a tour/promotional attempt. As footage started coming in and more talented individuals came aboard, the video really took shape to being the full fledged, hard hitting team video it is. Top notch skating, amazing hvx footage and motion graphics from the best in the biz? I hope by now you wouldn't accept anything less from the Valo skate brand.

After weeks of hard work and many sleepless nights for Jon and the rest of the post production crew, the video was finally done. Next step, organize a premiere. Again Jon spent many sleepless nights single handedly finding a venue worthy of premiering wav3. In the same way the video naturally came together, the premiere venue ended up falling perfectly in place. With the Poleng Lounge in San Francisco agreeing to facilitate 150 people(?), the anticipation began to settle in.

I'd been looking forward to the premiere since day one. Whether you like it or not, the night of a premiere is judgment day. Will you get the approval of the crowd? Will they like what you've been working on for the past year? In my opinion, silence at a premiere is just as bad as getting boo'd off stage! Luckily this wasn't the case because people were yelling and screaming the entire 40 minutes of the video. The final roar from the crowd marked the end of the video and the start of a long night of partying that is best summed up by a quote from an individual who shall remain anonymous . . .

"Dude, I blacked out and lost my car in the city!"

Sometimes details are best left unknown.
