Be-mag Issue 22: Exploring Japan with the Horseman - 07/12/14

The lineup for the Japan tour was almost complete. We had Alex Broskow, Jeff Stockwell, and Jeromy Morris, with Mike Choley and myself manning the cameras. All we needed was one last member, and we began a vigorous screening process to find the perfect candidate. I’ll admit I was slightly shocked to learn that after a week-long search, Be-Mag had made a very unorthodox choice. The sixth person would not be a person at all, but in fact a horse. Yes you read it right, a horse; Equus ferus caballus. Personally I would have chosen somebody a bit more … well, human, but apparently this particular horse had been on a winning streak, bagging up all the ASA and NISS events and showed signs of becoming one of the top am’s in the sport. I’ve learned from past trips to roll with the punches and see what happens, so I set aside my objections for the moment. With little time to spare, we packed our bags and headed to the airport to meet our new four-legged friend and start an adventure on the other side of the planet...
